The Prestige Hotel opened in December, 2001 is situated on Vasilievky Island, which is one of the oldest and most beautiful districts of Saint Petersburg. The island was planned by Peter the Great as the center of the new city. Later the original plan was given up but the primary layout and many architectural monuments of the 18th-19th centuries have been preserved.
